Rated 4 out of 5�by RemoteEngineer Sturdy Desk that Looks Good
After reading a lot of reviews, I ended up buying this desk to reduce the clutter and better organize my home office since I now work completely remote when I'm not traveling for work since it appears to have good storage, functionality, and at a good price. Arrived in 2 boxes that I needed help to get up my apartment stairs since they're about 90 lbs each. Once there, the fun began...
I also see why a lot of reviews said it took even 2 people 3-4 hours to set-up. There are a lot of steps and a lot of gluing of wooden pegs. I'll be honest, I took one look at the glue they sent and I decided to use my own wood glue, which required more time to dry and set properly. It took me 1.5 days to get it set-up by myself with the extra gluing I did and allowing proper time for the wood glue,12-24 hours, to set and dry, but I'm much more assured that this desk will hold up better should I decide to move. Except for a few small nicks on the top, the desk looks fantastic in the space I have it in so the shipping boxes did their job.
Once I got moving after setting the pegs on one side and allowed the glue to dry overnight, things moved smoothly and I had the desk completely assembled before the end of the second day. The directions were very simple and the diagrams were small, so it took some time to decipher which part went where in each step. It would have been helpful, with something this big, to get a full size (8.5"x11") manual with bigger pictures. Also, the PC Compartment definitely works for a lot of PC's; however, if you've built your own PC Tower like I have, make sure it fits. Mine only has 2" of space on one side so I am working to build an additional airflow method so my tower doesn't overheat as friends have said it might (see picture attached). If you plan to use the PC Compartment for a PC Tower, I would also suggest cutting a larger hole in the cardboard backing they send to ensure better airflow (see video link) as well since I've heard there can be heat dissipation issues. Other than that, I've gotten some good compliments on it already from friends. Would probably get the matching hutch down the road if they still sell this model.

We bought the desk, hutch and lateral file drawer set. The end result is a functional comfortable workspace. Took a lot of time to assemble but mostly fit together well. Definitely need 2 people..

The desk is beautiful when completed and with the hutch, outstanding. However... do not EVEN attempt this unless you are extremely mechanically inclined. I had a construction guy help me with this and even he had to shake his head at the poor directions accompanying this product. He's put together several manufactured units and this one took him almost two whole days to complete not even including the hutch I also purchased. Allow yourself plenty of time and patience! Aside from that, for the price this is a beautiful showcase desk.
